iDevices launches the second generation of iGrill app-enabled meat thermometer-- the iGrillmini, a Bluetooth Smart device promising "highly efficient" cooking monitoring and longer battery life.
Around 25% the size of the original model, the iGrillmini features rugged mountable (via magnet) casing and a multicolour LED ring for the indication of how well food is cooked. The LED is also smarter, since it only lights up once the user and iDevice are within range.
Bluetooth Smart technology allows for a 45m range, as well as battery life reaching up to 150 hours.
The device pairs with post-iPad 3 iDevices via app (Android version coming 2014) complete with pre-loaded and custom temperature alarms, graph-based cooking tracking and social network features.
The iGrillmini should be available from Q4 2013.
