Chinese developer Beaver Electronics makes use of a previously Apple-exclusive connector with the Quarter Super PowerBank-- a battery pack featuring a built-in MagSafe 2 port.

Quarter PowerbankAccording to the company the Quarter is built for use with MacBook wall chargers. It also sips power through USB and a companion Car Adapter. The built-in battery clocks at 5000mAh, with full recharging at up to 3Amp speeds in 45 minutes, and Beaver claims just 15 minutes of MagSafe recharging provides enough power to refuel an iPhone 5s.

Operation is button-less-- and to check how much power remains users simply need to shake the aluminium-clad battery to trigger 4 blue LED lights.

The Quarter Super PowerBank is currently available on a pre-order basis on Australian crowdfunding website Pozible. The company says it already started producing 1000 units, with the obtained funds going to increase production.
