LG Adds Stylus to Q8 Smartphone

LG announces a refresh of the 2017 Q8 mid-range smartphone-- a 6.2-inch devices with updated internals and the addition of a stylus, making it something of a rival to the Samsung Galaxy Note devices.

LG Q8Customers can hide the stylus inside the Q8 until needed, before use with a memo feature for drawing or creating own emoji. One can even use the stylus when the display is switched off, allowing for quick note taking, and the phone produces appropriate sound effects to make writing on screen feel like a selection of writing instruments.

As for the actual devices, the Q8 features a 2160 x 1080 resolution display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, carries a a Snapdragon 450 processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage (expandable via microSD card) and a 3300mAh battery. The rear holds a single-lens 16MP camera and a fingerprint sensor, the front has a wide-angle selfie camera, and the body comes complete with MIL-STD 810G standard toughness and IP68-rated water resistance.

LG is still to tell when the Q8 hits the market, but it will do so in either Moroccan blue or aurora black colours.
