Anker presents the PowerLine II USB-C to Lightning cable-- the first of a USB-C to Lightning cable series to receive official MFi certification, while being available at a lower price point compared to the official equivalent.
A number of companies are making MFi USB-C to Lightning cables, including Belkin, Griffin and even Anker itself. However, while the Anker Powerline and Powerline+ cables promise increased durability and bend lifespan through braided nylon construction and aramid fibre coverings, the PowerLine II option is a more barebones offering, if one with a lifetime warranty.
Available in 90cm length, the PowerLine II does promise "much faster" charging when paired with an appropriate USB-C power adapter. Meanwhile a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) allows for longer lifespan, so much so Anker provides a lifetime warranty.
The PowerLine II cable ships from February 2019.
