Anker presents a simple aftermarket solution to add Google Assistant capability to nearly any car-- the Roav Bolt, an in-auto charger featuring an always-on microphone.
The Roav Bolt attaches to (and is powered by) the cigarette lighter. In turn it connects to both the car speaker system and a smartphone via Bluetooth to allow for easy use of Google Assistant. It is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, and routes Google Assistant audio through the louder sound system.
Anker says the device carries dual microphones complete with noise-canceling, ensuring it hears the user even over ambient car and road noise. Allowing for even clearer audio are on-device signal processing and machine learning analysis. Thus, the customer can simply say "Hey Google" and talk to Assistant for road directions, traffic information, call making and streaming music control.
The device features 4 indicator lights to note interactions, and a physical button to begin voice entry. Also included are x2 USB-A ports for phone charging and a 3.5mm jack for aux input.
