iPhone SE2Apple will soon present a new iPhone, Bloomberg reports-- specifically a smaller, lower-cost model reminiscent of the 2016 iPhone SE, with a release date slated to come as soon as March 2020.

Rumours revolving around such a device have been dropping since 2019, with sources including reliable Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The Bloomberg story corroborates on such hearsay. It says the upcoming affordable iPhone has a 4.7-inch display and runs on the A13 chip, the same as the iPhone 11. In addition, the device will feature Touch ID built into the Home button, but no Face ID, and current-generation camera technology. The sources also point out "iPhone SE 2" as a possible name.

Interestingly, a separate Bloomberg report states Apple is pushing partners to increase A-series processor output due to "higher-than-anticipated" demand, probably either for the iPhone 11 or the aforementioned low-cost model. As for companies tapped to assemble the iPhone, names include Hon Hai, Pegatron and Winstron.
