Oppo Debuts Earbuds for the Find X

Oppo follows on the launch of the Find X smartphone with a pair of companion wireless earbuds-- the O-Free, powered by the recently announced Qualcomm QCC3026 chipset promising cheaper, truly wireless headsets.

Oppo budsThe O-Free also include another Qualcomm technology with TrueWireless Stereo, a means for power management and connectivity. Thus, Oppo says the earbuds offer up to 4 hours of use on a single charge, with the charging/carrying case adding a further 12 hours of listening time.

US-Chinese startup EcoFlow presents an interesting take on the power pack-- the River Bank, a battery solution with a stackable design, allowing one to add more power or ports as they require.

River BankThe main River Bank module is a 99Wh battery with x4 Quick Charge USB ports (x2 USB-A, x2 USB-C) and a 10W Qi surface able to wirelessly charge up to x5 devices simultaneously. According to the company it has enough power to charge a laptop twice or a phone 9-15 times. Users can add even more power through addition of one of two submodules, one featuring a car jump-starter and the other an AC jack.

Haier presents a perhaps unique take on the smartwatch at MWC 2018-- the Asu features a built-in projectors allowing users to project images on the back of their hands.

Haier AsuThe Asu wins no awards for sleek design, since it is far bulkier than other wrist-worn devices of its ilk. As one might imagine the extra bulk comes from the projector, which the company says augments the 1.54-inch display with 480 x 854 resolution projections. Users can interact with the projections via touch, making for a larger surface than standard smartwatches. For instance, one can tap on projected digits to store a phone number or draw on the projection with a finger.

Rylo 360-Degree Camera Gets Android Support

The Rylo pocket-size 360-degree camera gets Android support via companion app for devices running  on the OS complete with video stabilisation, directing and editing capabilities.

Rylo cameraLaunched back in November 2017 for iDevices, the Rylo sits somewhere between the low-cost Insta360 One and high-end GoPro Fusion cameras. It features a pair of 208-degree lenses and auto-stabilisation technology, and records video as a 4K resolution 360-degree sphere. Video transfers between camera and app take place not via wifi but through a traditional transfer cable.
