More Mobile Security With GranitePhone

GranitePhoneFrench mobile device maker Archos teams up with security specialist Sikur with the GranitePhone-- a device similar to the likes of the Blackphone and Turing Phone in being a more secure smartphone.

The handset runs on GraniteOS, an Android variant the makers claim encrypts all communications going through the device, including calls, messages, contacts and any cloud-based storage. Customers can access all encrypted data via Sikur apps.

Specification-wise the GranitePhone is somewhat mid-tier, being powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 CPU with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and a 2700mAh battery. The 5-inch display handles 1920 x 1080 resolution, and the cameras come at 16 and 8MP.

The GranitePhone is available via dedicated site.
