Hyper takes to Kickstarter to launch HyperJuice-- "the world's most powerful USB-C battery pack," at least according to the company, and the first to support the 100W USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 profile.
The battery promises a total of 130W combined output when using the 100W (max) USB-C input/output jack, 60W (max) USB-C jack and 18W (max) USB-A Quick Charge jack. It charges up fully in an hour if used with a 100W USB-C charger, while a 60W charger takes around 1.7 hours. Customers need to add the charger, since Hyper does not include one in the package.
The battery can charge while simultaneously charging all devices plugged in it-- and Hyper recently showed off a prototype able to chage a 15-inch MacBook Pro at 100W and a 13-inch MacBook Pro at 60W, while also charging an iPhone X at 18W, all with pass-through charging. Of course, one can use it to charge any other device, be it portable consoles, action cameras, drones or even the 16-inch Wacom MobileStudio Pro tablet.
As mentioned earlier, the HyperJuice is available on a preorder basis on Kickstarter, where it already made over twice an initial $100000 pledge goal. Shipments are set to start from December 2018.
