iPad Pro Gets USB-C Hub

The 2018 iPad Pro ditching the proprietary Lightning port for a USB-C hub means more accessory opportunities, and Hyper is one of the first to take advantage with the HyperDrive USB-C hub

iPad Pro HyperdriveThe HyperDrive adds no less than 6 ports to the latest Apple tablet-- namely HDMI, 3.5mm headphone jack, SD and microSD card slots, USB-A 3.0 and USB-C Power Delivery. It is built out of aluminium, includes a removable polycarbonate and ABS grip, and sits flush with the side of the display when hooked to the tablet, with or without the Smart Folio keyboard.

However customers do have to keep in mind the use of some of the ports might be more limited compared to, say, a a MacBook. For instance, connecting a USB thumb drive to the iPad Pro is not plug-and-play, instead demanding a 3rd party app.

The HyperDrive for the 2018 iPad Pro ships on December 2018 in a choice of space gray and silver colours.
