Lenovo takes advantage of IFA 2013 to launch a pair of additions to the so called "PC Plus" portfolio-- the Vibe X smartphone and S5000 tablet, both featuring sleek design and "intelligent" performance.

Vibe XThe Vibe X is a 5-inch Android smartphone inside a polycarbonate body complete with what the company says is a "3D tactile finish." The IPS display handles 1920x1080 resolutions at 440 PPI, and comes protected under a Gorilla Glass 3 screen.

Inside are a 1.5GHz quad-core MTK 6589T processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and 5MP front-/13MP rear-facing cameras.

Another Lenovo smartphone seen in updated form at IFA is the K900, now in a couple of new colour options (black or orange) and storage in either 16 or 32GB sizes.

Meanwhile the S5000 is one of the slimmest tablets around, being 7.9mm and with 246g weight. It features a 7-inch 1280x800 display, 1.2GHz quad-core Media Tek 8389 CPU, 3G HSPA+ connectivity (optional) and a 3450mAh battery promising up to 6 hours of non-stop media viewing.

Both devices carry pre-installed Lenovo file sharing and security apps, and the Vibe X also includes a Facebook app with additional screensaver and notification functions.

The Vibe X and S5000 should be available in European markets during Q4 2013.
